Who's Afraid of a Hot Tin Roof? was selected by The Newtowne Players to represent the theater at the 2016 Eastern States Theater Association one-act festival.

Who's Afraid of a Hot Tin Roof? won best production, best director, and best ensemble at the 2015 Watermelon Festival under the production of Raging Hags Productions. Thank you to a wonderful cast, director, and crew. Fingers are crossed for a state festival production. Go Hags!

Field Guide to the North American Osprey has been selected for participation in the 38th Annual Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival to be held at the Clurman Theatre in Theatre Row, New York City, July 23-July 28, 2013.

Field Guide to the North American Osprey swept the awards at the 2013 Watermelon One-Act Festival, winning Best Script, Best Director (Valarie Green) and Production, Best Actor (Michael Bell), and Best Actress (Missy Bell).

The Baltimore Playwrights Festival (www.baltplayfest.org) is doing a staged reading of 
Thin Eggshell Syndrome on Tuesday, November 20, 8:30pm at Fells Point Corner Theater.  The reading is free and open to the public.  A discussion of the script will follow the reading.

was selected for production in the Manhattan Theatre Source's Estrogenius Festival 2012.  This one is huge for me, as I've always aspired to be in Estrogenius.

Thin Eggshell Syndrome was named a finalist in Pride Films and Plays' 2012 Women's Work Contest.  The reading for adjudication will be Sunday, July 29, 2012.  Carolyn Gage is also one of the finalists--an honor for my script.

I'm thinking about Life on Mars tonight.  Break legs, Stage Q!  Life on Mars runs May 31-June 9, 2012 in Stage Q's Queer Shorts 7 in Madison, WI.

Love this:  Migration Route was selected for production at Silver Spring Stage's 2012 One-Act Festival.   The festival will run sometime in August.  I really feel the love for this theater's work (considering their production at MCTF was amazing this year).

Witch Hunt, produced by College of Southern Maryland's Performing Arts Club, was named runner-up at MCTF 2012.

Life on Mars, a short and campy sci-fi script, made it to the Women's Work Sapphics on Stage semi-finals competing against full-lengths.  This script is a little workhorse.

woman: revised is a best-of finalist at Fire Rose Productions Ten Minute Festival in North Hollywood, California.  Rock on, Woman!

Life on Mars is slated for production in Southern Maryland Originals at the College of Southern Maryland.  I'm directing this one, so it will be an opportunity to learn more about the script.

Butterfly, yes, my precious darling, is headed to New York City with the Newtowne Players production: Gloria Ranta, Jessica Magno, and Missy Bell.  This cast will knock the socks off, and tear ducts, the audience at the Strawberry Summer One-Act Festival.

woman: revised was named a Best of the Fest Finalist at Girl Play.  Yay!

Life on Mars, perhaps my little favorite of the day, is at Girl Play with The Women's Theatre Project in Ft. Lauderdale with its big sister, woman: revised.

The Newtowne Players will be representing Maryland with woman: revised at the 2011 Eastern States Theatre Association Regional Festival.  Break legs, NTP!

Jessica Rodriguez will be directing a student production of Butterfly at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia.  I'm so excited to see students doing this work.  I love seeing the effect this piece has on young people.

Stone Soup Theatre's Double (XX) Fest 2011 in Seattle will be producing woman: revised and doing a staged reading of Witch Hunt.

*

The Newtowne Players' production of woman: revised won the 2011 Maryland Community Theatre Festival.  Valarie Green as Woman knocked it out of the park!
